Support our community project!
My Romania Community is a legally
incorporated and registered community association dedicated to servicing the
needs of Romanians living in the United Kingdom. Since its inception in March
2015, My Romania Community has been of assistance
to many UK-based Romanians through the provision of several tailor-made services
to give them moral, physical, and financial support.
We make no discrimination in our services to Romanians in the UK; therefore, we
are here to help Romanians of all ages, genders, professions and so on.
Having committed our
time, efforts, and other resources to helping Romanians within the British society,
we provide a variety of information
services. These services include job,
career opportunities, advisory and consultancy services, advertising in TV,
radio and on the internet; business administration or management, trade fairs,
auctioneering, data processing, retail services, and so on.
As a self-financed community-based
association offering innumerable services to our community, we depend on
assistance from private companies, self-employed individuals, and agencies.
Moreover,
to ensure that all services are provided
professionally, we have established collaborations with experienced legal
advisors, teachers, students and other individuals from all walks of life who
are ready to help the Romanian community in the UK free of charge. In addition, we have support from the Romanian
Embassy in London. We are also open to partnership with various benevolent
individuals from all professions as well as corporate bodies.
In providing support for the
Romanians in the UK, our objectives are to offer assistance to those facing
social problems in other to fully integrate into the UK. We do this through
organizing educational, social and cultural activities, collecting and
distributing foods and other supplies, and giving invaluable support to those without National Insurance
Number (NINO). By organizing English classes for Romanians of all ages and
promoting Romanian language, literature, history,
and traditions, we have been able to reach a large number of Romanians looking
for greener pastures in the United Kingdom.
With the help of our
partners, we have successfully helped many UK-based Romanians with acquisition
of legal residence documents, guidance and assistance for registering Romanian
children in the education system, guidance and assistance in employment
application, CV writing, support for the homeless and domestically violated
individuals, translation of data into English language, and much more.
Our efforts at assisting the
community of Romanians within the British society have not gone unnoticed as we
have been recognized for our goodwill. In
November 2017, we were recognized as the
Community Group of the Year at the Pride of Brent Award 2017 for promoting and supporting the interest of the Romanian Community in North West London.
